2016 Sports AND MEMBERSHIP SERVICES SEMESTER INTERNSHIP
The Indiana High School Athletic Association, Inc. is seeking an intern to perform a wide array of membership services duties during the fall semester.

Compensation for the internship is minimum wage (currently $7.25/hour). Pay checks are issued biweekly throughout the internship.

In the position, the intern is expected to work in many areas with the Commissioner, the five Assistant Commissioners, the Sports Information Director, Technology Director and with the support staff.

Daily duties will include a variety of assignments, from providing front line support for IHSAA Official questions and issues, extracting data from software, and assisting in supporting IHSAA Assistant Commissioners and the Technology Director with tournament activities. Duties will be wide and varies, even to the inclusion of answering office phones.

Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and our office is located on 9150 North Meridian Street, just inside the I-465 loop on the north side of Indianapolis.

Desired qualifications: Strong communications skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic about high school sports, a willingness to work necessary hours to complete a task well, a team player who can also function independently. Juniors and seniors are preferred, as well as candidates who are available to work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

2017 SPORTS ADMINISTRATION SPRING SEMESTER INTERNSHIP
The Indiana High School Athletic Association, Inc. is seeking candidates for its internship in sports administration for the 2017 spring semester. The 2017 spring internship begins in January and continues through the end of June.

Compensation for the internship is minimum wage (currently $7.25/hour). Pay checks are issued biweekly throughout the internship.

In the position, the intern is expected to work in many areas with the Commissioner, the five Assistant Commissioners, the Sports Information Director, Technology Director and with the support staff.

During the internship, the successful candidate will assist with IHSAA championships, working with the Assistant Commissioner assigned to a championship and the Sports Information Director.

Daily duties will include a variety of assignments, from the compilation of statistics through our statistics service to gathering information for state championship programs and perusing various daily newspapers to find news for inclusion in our weekly press releases. Duties will be wide and varied, even to the inclusion of answering office phones.

Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and our office is located on 9150 North Meridian Street, just inside the I-465 loop on the north side of Indianapolis.

Desired qualifications: Strong communications skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic about high school sports, a willingness to work necessary hours to complete a task well, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe InDesign, Adobe PhotoShop, and Contribute Web authoring software. Juniors and seniors are preferred, as well as candidates who are available to work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
