Individual Tournament Summary

 

Thirty-two (32) sectionals of 8-12 teams.  The top four (4) individuals from each weight class advance to the regional.  Wrestlebacks from the quarter-final round.  Wrestle out to 6th place.  Sectional pairings and seeding will be made at 7:00 p.m. on the Monday preceding the sectional tournament at the center school.

 

Sixteen (16) regionals.  The top three (3) individuals from each weight class advance to the semi state.  Single elimination format.

                       

Four (4) semi states.  The top four (4) individuals from each weight class advance to the state finals.  Single elimination format.

 

State finals. 16 individuals in each weight class.  Single elimination format with an additional round added for quarter-finals losers to wrestle for placement in the medal round matches.      

                                                                                   

Team Tournament Summary

 

Thirty-two (32) sectionals of 8-12 teams.  The top two (2) teams from each sectional advance to the team regional.

 

Sixteen (16) regionals.  Two (2) sectionals feed into each regional.  1st round pairings are cross-bracketed (ie: 1st place team from Sectional A vs. 2nd place team from Sectional B)     

                                                                       

Eight (8) semi states.  Winning team advances to the team state tournament.
