"Promoting education based athletics in Indiana"
Being mentally prepared is vitally important if you expect to be successful in sports. What steps do you take to enhance your mental toughness? Does your approach give you a sense of confidence?
A prominent amateur golfer was quoted in Golf Magazine saying that his success derives from an understanding that nothing is going to be perfect. "It's more grit than glitter, more spit than polish," talking about his mental toughness.
In team sports you have teammates to fall back upon during rough moments. In individual sports you don't. There is no blueprint for becoming mentally tough. However, watching and reading about athletes that have a mentally tough reputation can only enhance your knowledge on this challenging subject.
It's different for every person!
