The following is a statement on today's passing of Hoosier Hysteria historian Herb Schwomeyer.

"The Indiana High School Athletic Association is deeply saddened by the passing of our friend, Herb Schwomeyer. Herb left an indelible mark on Indiana high school basketball from his earliest years as a player, teacher and coach and later as game official, television broadcaster, author and involvement in the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. His knowledge of our state’s high school basketball state tournament and its storied history was unequaled. He’ll be dearly missed by all who loved “Hoosier Hysteria”.”

To conclude the 2010-11 season, Carmel repeated as the team champion and  Brebeuf Jesuit’s Harrison Wagner won a pair of titles during the 74th  Annual IHSAA Boys Swimming and Diving State Finals in Indianapolis.

Following notification from a current member school that it plans to withdraw from Association membership at the end of this school year, the IHSAA is issuing a revised four class alignment for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years to replace the one released on Feb. 7.
