How to Become an IHSAA Licensed Official

The IHSAA is encouraged by your interest in our licensing program.  We are looking for men and women who want to give back to a sport in which they participated. Give back to the school and to the community at-large. It is necessary and important that we provide our member schools with qualified, competent officials.  It is important that you recognize the level of professionalism the IHSAA expects of its officials.

The IHSAA is aware that most of our licensed officials officiate because of a love for sport and a desire to assist in providing wholesome, worthwhile and healthy activities for the more than 160,000 student/athletes in Indiana.

The IHSAA currently licenses officials in 10 different sports:  baseball, basketball, football, women’s gymnastics, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, track and field/cross country, volleyball, and wrestling.
