Tournament Information

Tournament Pairings

Pairings for the 26th Annual IHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament Series will be drawn at noon on Monday, February 6, 2001. They will be available on the IHSAA website at approximately 2 p.m., EST.

February 13, 16, 17, 2001

Format

5-Team Fields: Will play one first-round game on Tuesday at 7 p.m., two semifinals games on Friday at 6 p.m., and the championship on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The team drawing the first-round bye will play the Tuesday night winner in the second semifinal game on Friday.

6-Team Fields: Will play two first-round games on Tuesday at 6 p.m., two semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m., and the championship on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The two teams drawing a first-round bye will play in the second semifinal game on Friday.

State Finals

Saturday, March 3, 2001 at Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianapolis.

Session I (Class A followed by 2A) – 10:30 a.m.

Session II (Class 3A followed by 4A) – 6:30 p.m.

Format

Two teams in each class will advance from semi-state competition to play in the state finals. The state finals will consist of two sessions: Session I features the Class A championship game followed by the Class 2A championship. Session II will have the Class 3A title game followed by the Class 4A game.

Ticket Information

Reserved tickets can be purchased by contacting the IHSAA at 317-846-6601 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. EST or stopping the IHSAA Office at 9150 N. Meridian Street in Indianapolis. Orders must be received before February 10, 2001. Tickets will go on sale at each participating school the week of the state finals. Contact participating schools for ticket distribution hours. Remaining tickets will be on sale on game day at Conseco Fieldhouse.
