Tournament Pairings
Pairings for the 27th Annual IHSAA Girls
Basketball State Tournament Series will be drawn at noon on Monday, January 28,
2002. They will be available on the IHSAA website at approximately 2 p.m., EST.
Sectionals
5-Team
Sectionals: Will play one first-round game on Tuesday at 7 p.m., two
semifinals games on Friday at 6 p.m., and the championship on Saturday at 7:30
p.m. The team drawing the first-round bye
will play the Tuesday night winner in the second semifinal game on Friday.
6-Team
Sectionals: Will play two first-round games on Tuesday at 6 p.m., two
semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m., and the championship on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The two teams drawing a first-round bye will
play in the second semifinal game on Friday.
7-Team
Sectionals: Will play one first-round game on Tuesday at 7 p.m., two
quarterfinals on Wednesday at 6 p.m., two semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m., and
the championship on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The
team drawing a first-round bye will play in the first semifinal game on Friday.

State Finals
Session I (Class A
followed by 2A) – 10:30 a.m.
Session II (Class 3A followed by 4A) – 6:30 p.m.
Two teams in each class will advance from semi-state
competition to play in the state finals. The state finals will consist of two
sessions: Session I features the Class A championship game followed by the
Class 2A championship. Session II will have the Class 3A title game followed by
the Class 4A game. The fieldhouse will be cleared
between Session I and II.
Reserved tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting
the IHSAA at 317-846-6601 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. EST or stopping the
IHSAA Office at 9150 N. Meridian Street in Indianapolis. Orders must be
received before Monday, February 11, 2002. Tickets will go on sale at each
participating school the week of the state finals. Contact participating
schools for ticket distribution hours. Remaining tickets will be on sale on
game day at Conseco Fieldhouse.
