    Fort Wayne Chosen to Host 2010 Girls Basketball State Finals

    Commissioner Blake Ress announced today that the IHSAA has an agreement in principle approving Fort Wayne as the host site of the 2010 IHSAA Girls Basketball State Finals. That decision was among several state tournament measures that were recently voted upon during the IHSAA Executive Committee’s final meeting of the 2008-09 school year.

    Baseball State Finals Complete; Four Champions Crowned

    Fort Wayne Snider capped off an amazing comeback in extra innings in the 4A championship and joined Andrean (3A), Heritage Christian (2A) and Lafayette Central Catholic (1A) as state champions in the 43rd Annual IHSAA Baseball State Finals at Victory Field.

    Avon Wins Team Title, Sumrall Takes Individual Win in Boys Golf

    Avon won its first state championship in any sport and Mishawaka Marian senior Adam Sumrall won the individual championship at the 73rd IHSAA Boys Golf State Finals at The Legends of Indiana Golf Course in Franklin.

    Softball Championship Saturday

    Tecumseh and Madison-Grant each claimed its first softball title, New Palestine repeated and Center Grove claimed a record fifth crown to cap the 25th annual state tournament at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis.

    Munster, Brebeuf Jesuit Tennis Players Crowned State Champions

    Munster’s Mary Hill and Brebeuf Jesuit’s Annabeth Barnard and Gabrielle Rubenstein captured their respective tournament championships during the IHSAA Individual State Finals for girls tennis at North Central High School on Saturday.

    Giants Claim Second Straight Boys Title; Wildcats Capture First-Ever Girls Crown

    Ben Davis claimed four event titles to propel the Giants to their second straight IHSAA Boys Track and Field championship in the 106th annual meet. Lawrence North dethroned three-time state champion Warren Central for the school's first-ever crown in the 36th annual girls meet in Bloomington, Indiana.
