ONE CHANGE AMONG TOP TEAMS IN GIRLS BASKETBALL

For the week ending December 9, 2002, there was one change among the teams’ claiming the number-one position in the four classifications in girls basketball.  That occurred in Class 2A where Southwestern (Hanover) dropped its first game of the season to Louisville (KY) Mercy High School, 86-70, on December 2.  That defeat allowed Heritage Christian (5-1), despite a loss to Brebeuf Jesuit, to move in the leadership role in that class.

Elsewhere, Kokomo (6-0) stays atop the field in 4A.  Alexandria (7-0) is still number-one in 3A.  North Vermillion (7-0) is the leader in class A.
