TWO CHANGES
AT TOP AT OF WEEKLY FOOTBALL POLLS
The IHSAA high
school football season advances to week-eight of the 2003 season this Friday
evening, with a pair of newcomers taking over as leaders in the polls.
In Class 5A, Ben Davis, despite a 7-0 victory at Lawrence North,
was replaced at No. 1 by Lafayette Jefferson in the IFCA ranking system, but
maintained its hold on the top spot according to AP. The Bronchos, 4th
in the AP poll, are sporting a 7-0 record, coming off a 35-12 victory
over Class 4A top-ranked Muncie Central.
In 4A, Delta rolled to a 28-0 win over Rushville and took over the
leadership role in both polls as the Bearcats suffered that loss to Lafayette
Jeff. Elsewhere, Andrean (3A),
