GIRLS GOLF TOURNAMENT STATE FINALS FRIDAY-SATURDAY

The 32^nd Annual IHSAA Girls Golf Tournament Series moves to the state championship rounds this Friday and Saturday, October 1-2, at The Legends of Indiana Golf Course in Franklin. Admission will be $5.00, each day.

Emily Johnson (10), Warsaw, last year’s medalist, will tee off in the 8:45 group from the 10^th tee. Johnson fired a 71 during Saturday’s regional round, earning medalist honors at East Noble.

Leo turned in the lowest team score, also at East Noble on the Cobblestone Course, with a 317.

There are eight former state champions in the 2004 field: Yorktown (1976); LaPorte (1978); Carmel (1980); Noblesville (1986-87); Seymour (1989); Martinsville (1991-92-93-95-96-97-98-99-00); Penn (1994-02); and Western (2001).

Scores will be updated on the IHSAA website through Golfstat in three-hole increments throughout both days.

…..Second Day

Following the first day’s play, the field will be cut to include the top-nine teams, plus any team within 12 strokes of the lead, along with the top-nine individuals, excluding those individuals who advance with a team, plus any individual within four strokes of the lead.
