NEWCOMER AT TOP OF 4A GIRLS BASKETBALL POLL

While nothing changed at the top of the class 3A, 2A and A rankings this week, there was some shuffling atop the class 4A lineup, with Bloomington North, 8-1 under head coach Steve Goddard, taking over the top spot, with last week’s leader, Castle, sliding to fifth following losses in two of its last three games.

Meanwhile, Evansville Memorial (6-0), Winamac (10-0) and Fort Wayne Canterbury (7-1) continued to hold on to their lofty perches.  Memorial is off until December 20 when they are home to Washington.  Winamac travels to Tippecanoe Valley Wednesday evening.  Canterbury plays at Lafayette Jeff on December 18.

Newcomers to the top-10 included Indianapolis Cathedral in class 4A, NorthWood in 3A and Argos in class A.
