2005-06 Rules Interpretation Meeting Schedule

All meetings begin at 7:30 p.m., local time, unless otherwise stated

 

Coaches, for both girls and boys teams, and officials are mandated by the IHSAA to attend these annual meetings, for it is the responsibility of each coach to teach players to play in accordance with the rules and interpretations. It is imperative that officials attend these meetings, for it is the responsibility of the official to administer rules as written and interpreted. In case the head coach is not able to attend one of these meetings, it will be the responsibility of the principal to see that a representative from the athletic staff is in attendance.

The final rules interpretation meeting for the spring sports will be held on the following dates at 7:00 p.m. EST in the IHSAA office:

            Softball:           Monday, March 27

            Baseball:          Tuesday, March 28

            Track:              Thursday, March 30

 

All coaches who did not attend an earlier meeting should plan to be in attendance at this last meeting or face paying a fine or risk not entering the tournament series for your sport.  Officials may also attend this meeting.  No other dates will be set and no other avenues are available to substitute for attendance at the rules meeting.  Attendance is mandatory for officials who want to be considered for post-season tournament assignments.
