PLAINFIELD HIGH SCHOOL TO HOST IHSAA STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
The IHSAA Student Leadership Conference will have a new home this summer when student-athletes from across the state meet on June 19, 2012.

Plainfield High School will serve as host for the ninth annual event which brings together student-athletes with leadership qualities to interact with one another, hear from national and local speakers and participate in a series of discussion sessions covering a wide range of topics. Last year’s conference drew 803 attendees representing 91 different high schools.

“We are thrilled to be teaming with the IHSAA in hosting the Student Leadership Conference,” said Scott Olinger, Superintendent of the Plainfield Community School Corporation. “The opportunity for student athletes from around the state to come together and work on leadership, team building, communication and community involvement is something in which I hope all schools participate.  I have personally seen what this activity has done for my daughter in terms of these areas.”

Information for the 2012 conference will be forwarded to IHSAA member schools in the coming weeks. The IHSAA is grateful to the Pike High School administration for its efforts in hosting the event the last three years.
