Boys Volleyball, Girls Wrestling approved as IHSAA Emerging Sports

During its annual review of the by-laws on Monday afternoon, the Board of Directors of the Indiana High School Athletic Association, Inc. voted unanimously to add girls wrestling and boys volleyball to its new Emerging Sport Process.

IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week  (5-2-22)

"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"

Most high school athletes feel like their coaches pick on them from time to time.  The same could be said about teachers picking on them as well.  Do you feel like this happens to you?

I have always said that coaches tend to instruct and get on those who have potential and ability.  In other words, if the coach is talking to you, giving you instructions, and correcting you when you do something wrong, the coach is challenging you to reach your full potential.

So the next time your coach or teacher is a little tough on you, look at it like a compliment.  Remember, coaches are not going to waste their time instructing or yelling at those they have no plans for!
