IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week for 4/17/23

"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"

How bad do you want it?  How good can you become?  How far can you go?  Are these questions you ask yourself regarding your athletic career?

Up to this point you likely have improved due to opportunities provided by your family, coaches, trainers and other support staff.  Now you have more say over how you spend your time and focus your energy.  Others may want you to reach your full potential but at this point only one person can make it happen--YOU.

So I ask the same question, how bad do you want it?  Does it mean enough to you to put in the hard work and training to be your best?  Do you work as hard on your weaknesses as your strengths when you practice?  Are you mentally prepared for practices and games?  

Just as in athletics, your future achievements in life will come as a result of your work, dedication and commitment to what you do.  Dream big and work hard-I believe you can achieve just about anything you really want!
