IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week (5/12/25)

"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"

Play until the final buzzer.  It is never over until it is over!  Never give up.  These are all words we have read or have been told to us when the odds are stacked against us--and it is true for the classroom, athletics, or other aspects of your life.  

There is nothing more exciting in sports than watching an unlikely comeback win.  During the NBA playoffs the past two weeks, several teams have come from over 20 points down to capture victories, including the Indiana Pacers - who did it twice.

This is a great lesson to remind you that you should never admit defeat until the game is over.  You always play until the final buzzer or last inning.  You believe that you can still win when the odds are stacked against you.  There is no greater thrill in sports than winning a game that no one else gave you a chance to do so!
