IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week (9/12/23)

"Promoting Education Based Athletics in Indiana"

Every sport season has a few losses that are hard to get over.  If you are in a fall sport, you have probably experienced one of those already this year.  However, don't let that loss determine your team's fate for the entire season.

There is no perfection in athletics.  Everyone will miss a block, fumble, misread a putt, miss a kill by a few inches, double fault on a serve or run out of gas at the finish line.

Despite the outcome, it is critical to look ahead and not dwell on the past.  The mental part of your game will help dictate your future success.  Don't hang your head or blame others.

Successful teams and individuals peak at the end of the season.  They have a knack of bouncing back from trying times and roadblocks that try to deter them along the way.

It is important to play each game/match with 100% focus and effort and build from week to week for the results you want at the end of the season!
