A Letter From the Commissioner
As the Boys Basketball Tournament concludes this weekend, we’re reminded of a truth we see all year long—especially during Hoosier Hysteria: High school sports in Indiana are special.
They are a meaningful part of our state culture and are essential to the fabric of Hoosier communities. They represent our values and the very best of us. They remind us of who we are and what we stand for.
That’s because in every community across Indiana, the name on the front of a high school jersey stands for something. It provides hope. It represents heart. It demonstrates pride. And at the IHSAA, we believe that’s worth supporting, protecting, and preserving for the future.
We believe every student-athlete in Indiana deserves to have the dream of competing for a State title. We believe they deserve the chance to represent their school and community. We believe they deserve the opportunity to learn and grow through education-based athletics.
The IHSAA serves 92 counties, 411 member schools, and 160,000 student-athletes. But we have ONE purpose: Protecting and preserving Indiana high school sports for ALL.
It’s not an easy job. But striving to do what’s right—especially when it’s hard—is what we stand for, because that’s what high school sports are all about.
Our commitment to community is unwavering, because we know how important it is. No matter what community you’re from, we want you to know that we see you. We see your values. We see your commitment. We see your pride. And we stand with you. We are here to protect your community and what makes it strong.
Remember, this is your IHSAA. That means we are here for you.
High school sports are the bedrock of countless Hoosier communities across our state. And that’s an Indiana tradition we are honored to preserve for generations to come.

Celebrating the Presenting Partners of Hoosier Hysteria
It goes without saying that Hoosier Hysteria is a sacred Indiana tradition as dreams are realized, champions are crowned, and communities come together as one. Simply put, nothing beats basketball in Indiana. It’s who we are.
And none of it would not be possible without the faithful support of the Indiana Pacers and the Indiana Fever—the presenting sponsors of the Boys and Girls Basketball Tournaments! Thank you for your continued partnership and your statewide influence on the Indiana basketball community! #WeGrowBasketballHere
Good luck to every student-athlete competing Saturday in the Boys Basketball State Finals! #ThisIsHoosierHysteria
